Why should I pick you as my chiropractor?
Choosing the right chiropractor is about finding someone who is experienced, trustworthy, and attentive to your unique health needs. At Thrive Wellness we prioritize practice member-centered care, tailored treatment plans, and open communication to ensure you feel confident and comfortable throughout your chiropractic journey.
How long does a chiropractic appointment last?
A typical chiropractic appointment lasts between 10 and 15 minutes. The first appointment may take longer as our chiropractor reviews your medical history, performs an exam/x-ray, and discusses your treatment plan. Follow-up visits generally take less time.
How are chiropractors educated?
Dr. Curran is a Fountain Head, Palmer College Graduate of Davenport, IA. He and other chiropractors undergo extensive education including: A 4 year undergraduate study, often in biology or health-related fields. Always inform your chiropractor if you are pregnant, so we can tailor your treatment appropriately.

Chiropractic care is safe for children, especially for issues like colic, ear infections, or growing pains. Pediatric chiropractic adjustments are generally gentle and use less force than those applied to adults.
What is the crack sound during a chiropractic adjustment?
The “crack” or “pop” sound is caused by the release of gas bubbles within the joint during the adjustment. This is a normal phenomenon known as cavitation and is harmless. The sound does not signify that bones or joints are being cracked, but rather that pressure is being released.
What is the difference between chiropractic care and physical therapy?
Chiropractic care focuses primarily on spinal adjustments and other manual techniques to treat musculoskeletal issues, particularly those involving the spine and nervous system. Physical therapy uses exercises, stretches, and modalities (like heat, ice, or electrical stimulation) to help restore movement and function. At Thrive Wellness our team utilizes both Chiropractic and physical therapy treatments in our patient care plans.
